Austin

Does anyone have this variety producing?
My tree is about 7 ft tall and is flowering, I hope to sample the fruit.

My tree is from 2019 and has produced one entire fruit. Last time it fruited for me was 2021 and I wasn’t in love with the flavor. Compared to Parfianka and Belbek the flavor profile wasn’t as deep. This is a unique cultivar with a cool history and the only reason I’ve been keeping it around is hope that it will produce again with a larger crop. I think I need to root prune.

Since you both say you have an Austin pomegranate,
Can you post a picture of what it looks like today/this month?

Thanks!
I would like to think the statue protects the tree from squirrels :)
