New member intro!
Hello all,
New member here! I do not have much knowledge or experience growing pomegranates. Hope to learn from you all!
I currently have 2 very young pom trees planted in-ground. Unknown varieties but 1 is red pulp (think it’s a Wonderful) and the other is supposedly a white pulp variety.
My in-laws, however, have a number of large pom trees that produce so much fruit! When ripe, the fruit splits, showing its awesome red colors.
Pictures from this season!

What kind of climate are they growing in?
Are your varieties the same varieties as your in-laws?

@greenfig , with our interest in both figs and pomegranates, looks like location is not the only similarity!!!
A little off topic here, But, what’s your favorite fig variety to grow? And pomegranate variety? (maybe I’ll add to my little garden)
Thanks!!!

Figs: UP, MBVS, White Greek, SV, AJH
Poms: Desertnyi and Parfianka
I have quite a few young plants that have not produced to their potential so the list will change most likely
I mean, it will grow!

Re: New member intro!
This will be my 1st year actively pursuing more fig varieties via rooting cuttings… & Out of all the new cuttings I started, NONE are on your list.
I’ve definitely been seeing Parfianka trees at the local nursery. Maybe I’ll pick one up one day!
Thanks again!

Parfianka is a must, especially for your zone! You won't be disappointed. I tasted my first Parfianka last week in Detroit and it was fantastic.

Visit Laguna Hills Nursery. They have large non-HD trees. Make sure you on a truck or a large SUVGo0setrails wrote: Fri Oct 15, 2021 7:10 am This will be my 1st year actively pursuing more fig varieties via rooting cuttings… & Out of all the new cuttings I started, NONE are on your list.![]()
