Nothing should go to waste!
I am going to sun dry the skin and make a powder to add to yogurt.
When the poms are ripe, the skin is a little sweet but not enough to eat alone. Will see how the powder will go.

Supposedly it's even better for you than the juice, and the darker the peel the better. The best peel for the nutrients is supposed to be the 'dark purple almost black' skinned ones.
Some people make tea with the dried peel.

Cool! I cut off the white stuff and leave the dark skin only .

In my opinion that white/yellowish part of the pomegranate inside tastes too bad 'for me to care about any nutrition it has', just like the white part of an orange/lemon.

I’ve never actually thought to do this. Great idea though! Last year I made some tea with an undried peel and it came out really good. What do you use to powerderize the peels; a food processor I’m guessing?

I have an antique coffee grinder I've never used. I'll give this a try. Please let us see your results when you grind everything up!

I have finished drying in the oven at 120-140F and almost powdered in a coffee grinder. I added a tea spoon to yoghurt and had it for breakfast. Surprisingly, I didn’t taste it much, very little. Maybe the bitterness disappeared? I think you can add the powder to anything you like. Not sure how to verify the positive effects though
