Shangri La and Himalayan are my favorite so far. Sweet with acidity, large and juicy. Quite productive too.
I have a small Dwarf Thai but it’s too early to compare, maybe next year.
I tried to root a Noire de Spain and it did root, sent two leaves and then died
Maybe I will buy a tree or so if I don’t find any good white variety.

I'm very eager to try out Shangri La, I've heard nothing but good things about it. As a cautionary note, I notice there are tons of sites selling white mulberries (black ones also) under different names with very little info. There's no way to know what they really are apart from genetic testing and unlike figs, mulberry leaf and fruit patterns are very similar. If I were you (I'm doing the same thing), I would build up a rootstock collection and only graft known (preferably USDA recorded) cultivars, unless of course you find something extremely unique.

A good suggestion! I hope USDA will start releasing the cutting wood to the public again .
