Was literally thinking the same lol! It's always quiet after the harvest. I'm awaiting some cuttings in late December / early January and am currently practicing rooting my leftovers from last season. Also praying that my smaller trees make it through the winter in the garage. I have 3 or 4 that stayed pretty small and I'll be bummed if they don't make it

Normally this is the time of year I like to step away from the plants but for the past several weeks I've been working on re-landscaping our backyard. No rest this winter.

Nice! That’s what I’ve been doing too. I am trying to get rid of as many pots as possible planting in ground . Came up with 2 nice raised beds. I read that a pom root system is about 1 m in radius and 1/2 m deep. That’s not a lot and the trees will do well in the beds.Blake wrote: Mon Dec 14, 2020 7:44 pm Normally this is the time of year I like to step away from the plants but for the past several weeks I've been working on re-landscaping our backyard. sounds like you and I are working on similar projects. So what varieties are going in your raised beds?

I want to extend my season and plant the earliest I could find: Sverhranniy and Medovyi Vahsha.Blake wrote: Tue Dec 15, 2020 6:58 pm sounds like you and I are working on similar projects. So what varieties are going in your raised beds?

Re: It seems like too quiet lately ...
I’ve gotten distracted by finding out that I can grow sugar cane in my zone.
On the Pom front, my salavatskis flowered like crazy this year, so I’m excited to possibly get some fruit in 2021. Now to get some of my other 50-or-so varieties to flower. Pro-tip: the people who say poms don’t need fertilizer aren’t growing in clay!

Congrats ! I am thinking to root a few as well. I also left good side branches to graft , to have 2 varieties per tree.ggperalta wrote: Wed Jan 13, 2021 8:01 pm I now have several cuttings I’m attempting to root, and extra wood in the refrigerator for possible graft attempts:
