That''s weird I think this Indian variety is following the Southern Hemisphere seasons in India.
This is a graft that grew nicely and has 2 branches with flowers on each.
Will see what happens next.

Wow, great job grafting on a Crepe Myrtle! It'll be interesting to see if the Mridula follows a normal flowering pattern next season. How long ago did the grafts take?

Any other info on this variety? I recently heard of an evergreen pomegranate when I visited Laguna Hills Nursery. I wonder if this is similar. They have a variety called "Erin", which is a seedling from a of subtropical/tropical area of Asia. I think I have that right. It is flowering now and might be forming a fruit. I'll see how it goes.

Grafted on 04/28/2020 as it says on the tag. It took under 10 days to see the grows. I was surprised how quickly it got going.

I asked about Mridula earlier in a different thread but didn't get much local info. A web search gets me the Indian links with stock photos mostly.

That's incredible! I'm going to be trialing some grafts next season. Hopefully mine take as quickly as yours.

Out of all grafts I tried the best were Vkusnyi, Sin Pepe, Ariana, and Mridula. Very vigorous and good takers. I cannot explain why though, maybe because the mother plants are healthy and vigorous too (except the Mridula since I got the cuttings from someone else)?
