Re: What to do with poms??
Another week, another ridiculous amount of fruit to go through.
2 tubs full already processed & a big bowl still to go! (Most will go through the juicer soon)

Re: Rooting Pomegranate Cuttings
Thanks for the advise!
No idea what varieties these are. Got them from the in-laws (sucker from their tastiest tree)
They make huge fruit!

Rooting Pomegranate Cuttings
Hello all,
I was able to get some cuttings recently.
Does rooting these work just like rooting fig cuttings?
Any extra care?
Thank you!

Re: New member intro!
Thanks too bad about the Erin. Sounded like an interesting variety.
Any chance that it will get better with age??

You can sprinkle some lemon juice while eating :)
Or be more creative.
I might have a few cuttings later on and ...

Re: Wild Pomegranate field in the neighborhood trail
Not yet! I picked 1 fruit from each variety to inspect at home, but they were not nearly close to being ripe yet. I will keep checking the trees and will definitely post updated pictures if I find a ripe one!

Wild Pomegranate field in the neighborhood trail
Found a field of wild growing pomegranate trees. From what I can tell, they are 3 different varieties, a very dark purple (almost black), regular red, and a lighter red.
Only took pictures of the really dark ones.
Must be like 15-20 trees growing out there.
Not sure who originally planted these, but ...

Re: New member intro!
I haven’t gotten any pomegranate plants from there, but will definitely keep my eye out for an Erin pomegranate. Would love to know if they actually produce fruit all year like they claim!
