Its najamm from ourfigs! I love pomegranates!

I've had bad luck with pomegranates. I bought a Kashmir type from a local nursery here about 8 years ago and planted it inground. Every crop was attacked by stinkbugs and fungus. 3 years ago i gave up and dug it out and threw it away.

Now after reading about parfinka and desertnyi which are soft seeded types, my interest in pomegranates has piqued again.

Can i grow these in containers? This is my first year growing figs too, and i'm also trialing figs in containers. I want to see how well they do before dedicating them for the ground.

Welcome! You sure can. In my zone just about everyone grows everything in containers. Cold hardy cultivars can be put in ground after a few years of solid growth. In your zone you should be able to grow Parfianka and Desertnyi in ground with exceptional results :)

Welcome, najamm.

Yes, you should be able to grow pomegranates in containers. Here are two articles that tell how to do it.
