Citrus Tasting at LREC

Since there's a few people on here in the CA Central Valley I thought I'd let ya know about a citrus tasting event coming up on Saturday December 14th from 9:00 to 12:00, just outside of Lemon Cove, CA. We went last year and had a great time experiencing the copious varieties of citrus available for tasting. They even had a table of "soon-to-be-released" varieties to try. Many knowledgeable people there... mainly commercial growers but it's quite welcoming to the average homeowner/grower like us. Here's a link to the site for more info, and a few pics from last year.

Wow! What a view! I may try to make it there.
Is it a free event?

It's a free event for all. The website said that they would be selling some bags of assorted citrus, e.g. cara caras, madarins, etc.
They do provide a printout of all the varieties on sample so you can take notes on the ones you like, don't like, etc. There's also a plethora of free publications to take, as well.
Last year we spent about an hour there tasting everything, but didn't make it on the walking tour they hosted of the surrounding citrus orchard. Don't know if they'll be offering that tour this year, but we may try to stick around to see.
