Pomegranates in São Paulo, Brazil

I recently spent some time in SP, Brazil and noticed that pomegranate trees were common throughout the city. I was able to get in touch with a commercial grower from southern Brazil who suggested that almost all pomegranates in SP with red hulls are most likely Wonderful. Due to the heavy amount of rain and humidity most of the fruits were stricken with rot. Unfortunately I wasn't able to taste any because none were ripe. Most of the pomegranates growing on city land end up being picked before they have a chance to fully ripen. Here are some photos of my findings.
