I bought these from Rolling River Nursery this year. From left to right: Parfianka, Austin, Kazake.

Rolling River ends up shipping you a 1 year 18-24' plant with well established roots. I immediately up-potted to 15 gallon containers with Fox Farm Happy Frog soil and fertilized throughout the season with Gaia Mania and One Shot Granules from Nectar for the Gods. Both are great products! The Kazake formed about a dozen blooms this year but they all ended up falling off. Hoping to see some fruit next year. Overall beautiful growth!

nice plants! do you plan on pruning them to any certain form or will you leave them bushy? I tend to let mine be a bush and just prune the ingrown limbs to keep the center open for air flow but I'm beginning to like shaping them into a standard, too

Thanks!

I'm actually going to try both and see if there's any significant yield in fruit. My Kazake is growing in the shape of a single trunk but is actually the least pretty looking of the three but maybe that will change with next years growth. I started pruning for air flow late in the season. That's something I'm gonna try to stay on top of better next year.

I do plan to try and get a single trunk stemming into 3 main branches for most of the future trees that I'll be rooting from cuttings. I saw a picture on here the other day and they end up taking on a really nice shape once they reach maturity.
