Red Silk Cuttings Available

Hi y’all!
I just pruned back my young red silk pomegranate today and I’ve got some cuttings. It hasn’t fruited for me yet (it did flower last year, though), but iirc it originally came from Brazos Citrus which is generally pretty reliable with their labeling.
I’m happy to trade or send some out for postage. I still need to clean them, but I’ll be sure I do that before they head out your way.

Thank you for offering them!
I looked online but could not understand, are the seeds soft or hard or medium ?

The seeds are 'firm yet edible' as you can read here https://www.davewilson.com/product-info ... megranates

Hmm... so what does it mean ?
I guess the only way to find out is to try myself.
Are the cuttings still available?
I can trade for Parfianka, Sirenevyi, or Sin Pepe if you want.

I am guessing somewhere in between medium hard and very soft. Something that would take a little effort to eat yet not so much, yet I am guessing.

I have only heard the name. There is only one person that I know of that has tried the fruit and I don't know the person.

Thanks, Alan. The description says it’s a semi dwarf variety and grows to 6-7 fr. The tree in the video is much taller than that. Maybe that is not Red Silk?

I don't see a height mentioned in the description.

At this university website https://hgic.clemson.edu/factsheet/pomegranate/ they say that the 'semi-dwarfed' variety ‘Surh-Anor’ can get up to about 10 feet tall, that bush in the video looks about 10 feet tall to me.

They are still available. I’ve set aside a few for my local nursery to grow stock plants from, but the rest are available. Unfortunately, no fruit yet. I’m thinking this year possibly or next year for sure — it probably would’ve been this year had I not let it get completely covered in bean plants last year...

Judging by the growth habit thus far, it seemingly is indeed a semi-dwarf.
