Hi all, I'm new to this forum but I'm glad i found it. I have a handful of smaller poms and a few larger in ground. One of the in ground poms is Fleischman, which I just successfully rooted 5 out of 6 cuttings. Poms seem to be incredibly easy to root, at least this variety. I haven't tried many others. All I used was Pro Mix HP in a 12 ounce plastic cup, no rooting hormone. I did notice that the cuttings that had the top wrapped in parafilm showed quicker results in leaf and roots.

I'm kind of new to all of this but I tried to make a video of the process.

Yes having the parafilm prevents the cuttings from drying out, and rotting. That is why some people use candle wax. it does the same thing.

Thank you for a nice video! A strong rooter for sure, congrats. If you want to try something challenging on the other side of the spectrum, that would be Angel Red. From 3 different trees, maybe 30 cuttings total, over 2 years, my success rate is 0%. All died at some point.
I also seal the tops of the cuttings but with liquid electrical tape, it's just easier for me.
