Guess I should clarify… Cuttings is how I’m growing my variety list the most, but I also did purchase a number of 1st year fig trees… from Laguna Hills Nursery! They are actually the ones that prompted me to start looking at different varieties. I saw their table full of different ones and I just started googling their names. Lo and behold, I ended up taking 10+ varieties home (not all at once; I just kept going back for more)
It was later in the season so I didn’t get the prime premium ones though.
Excuse my ignorance, but by non-HD trees you mean non Home Depot?

Did you get Erin from them? I have 3 poms still hanging, trying to get to the very ripe stage.
What varieties did you buy?

I haven’t gotten any pomegranate plants from there, but will definitely keep my eye out for an Erin pomegranate. Would love to know if they actually produce fruit all year like they claim!
As far as figs go, I got: Flanders, Sequoia, Black Ischia, Figo Preto, Mary Lane, Kesariani, Bourjasotte Grise, Ge Neri, Inchario Preto, and 3 Fig Hunter varieties from there.

Great figs! I hope they produce for you nicely.

I actually do not recommend Erin. I think it’s overpriced and not that tasty. Any Russian variety is better. It’s not flowering all the time. It stopped as soon as the first fruit appeared.

It's white inside, has no acidity and tastes like sugar water.
You can sprinkle some lemon juice while eating
Or be more creative.
I might have a few cuttings later on and you can graft to give it a try yourself.
